Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Isaac moved to Detroit to pursue his medical degree at Wayne State University. Once here though, he quickly became engulfed by the sounds the city had to offer and instead decided to pursue a career in the music industry.

Isaac was influenced by local vinyl DJ’s such as Kyle Hall & Mike Huckaby who motivated him to follow in their path, while at the same time creating his own unique sound.

 

After digging throuh all the record stores in Detroit and performing at venues such as TV Lounge, The Works, and Motor City Wine, he proceeded to traveled across 9 different countries in Europe with the pure intent of finding new sounds. By witnessing the underground music community from so many different cultures he gained a better understanding of dance music on a global scale. His taste in music naturally matured and he returned to Detroit with a much more minimal approach to his DJ sets and productions.

 

This past year Isaac started his own record label, Detroit Vinyl Room. The first release, Sigue Soñando EP, features his own productions with remixes from MGUN and Moreon & Baffa.  He currently maintains regular appearances in both in the club and festival circuits and continues to host vinyl only events with legendary DJ’s such as John Collins, Nick Speed, & Norm Talley to name a few. His ability to blend minimal and micro based sounds flawlessly with Detroit’s dub-techno clearly set him apart from the pack and have gained him the respect of international crowds through performances in cities like Paris, Montreal, & Vienna. Through his humble personality and determination to make a positive impact on his community, Isaac has truly become an innovator in Detroit’s electronic music scene.
